Why has the US grounded its Chinook helicopters, and what it means for India

The US army has underlies the Chinook Ch-47 helicopter fleet after finding a helicopter at risk of engine fire. The Indian Air Force (IAF) also operates the Chinook helicopter fleet. What are the problems with the helicopter and what are the implications of this development for IAF?
Why does the US Army ground Chinooks?
The US Army operates around 400 Chinook helicopters which are multi-role helicopters produced by Boeing who carry out various tasks to support Army operations. According to the news delivered by the Wall Street Journal, the Chinook fleet has been based on the
US Army because it is suspected that some engine fires occurred on a number of unspecified helicopters. The same report said that while there were no casualties due to this fire, the decision was taken to ground the helicopter as a precaution.
While Boeing has not commented on this problem, the Wall Street Journal states that the problem is the machine produced by Honeywell International Inc. A company spokesman quoted said that several engine components, known as O-Rings, were not in accordance with the design specifications.
IAF operates the 15 Chinook helicopter fleet and has not grounded them because they are waiting for more words about US development.
IAF learned to have sought more information from the US about the foundation of helicopters carried out by the US Army. The Chinooks was appointed to IAF in 2019 in a ceremony in Chandigarh. One Chinook helicopter unit is based in Chandigarh while another is based in Mohanbari Airbase in Assam.
