Russia Ukraine War Live Updates: Russia claims to have captured key city of Lysychansk

Russian and separatist troops have taken full control over the main city of Ukraine Lysychansk, the Russian State News Agency TASS quoted the Ministry of Defense on Sunday. The Russian Ministry previously said that its troops had surrounded Lysychansk and now fought in the city.
When the battle between Russia and Ukraine increased in the Eastern region, a presidential advisor to Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the battle in Lysychansk, the last big fortress of Ukraine in the eastern province of Luhanansk’s strategic province could cause a city decline.
As reported by Reuters, the Russian -style Luhannsk People’s Ambassador, Rodion Miroshnik, told Russian television “Lysychansk was controlled,” he added, “Unfortunately, it has not been released.”
Three people were killed in an explosion in the city of Belgorod Russia, near the Ukraine border, reported on Sunday which caused a fire in a housing building, said Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The explosion partly destroyed 11 apartment buildings and at least 39 private residential buildings, he added. Gladkov said in a message in Telegram, “The reason for the incident is being investigated … Maybe, the air defense system works.”
