The increase in militant attacks in Pakistan reached the highest point in August 2021, according to a study stating that this surge coincided with the Taliban offensive which began in May last year.

This research, conducted by Pakistani conflict and security studies (Pics), said that the number of highest attacks in one month in 2021 was recorded in August when 45 attacks were carried out by militants.

The Institute said in his report said the total number of militant attacks could not go down despite a one-month ceasefire from November 10 to December 10, the Dawn newspaper reported.

Pakistani publications said that the average number of militant attacks per month in Pakistan rose from 16 to 2020 to 25 in 2021, the highest after 2017.

The database highlights that Balochistan is the most turbulent province where 170 deaths are recorded in 103 attacks. According to the report, the highest number of injured was also reported from Balochistan where more than 50 percent of the total injured were recorded.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the second most affected area next to Balochistan, the report said.

Waspada experts on the role of Pakistan in Afghanistan, openly support the regional conflict but ultimately damage all types of peace that disrupt the interests of its leaders.

They warned that such actions could backfire in Pakistan, especially in military and intelligence companies.
