The court on Friday heard that Pachan came to know the pupil on a converse operation. He asked the victim if she was working or lessoning. When the victim said she was studying, Pachan replied that they would have to be “ veritably discreet”.
“ Seduced by the financial price, the victim accepted the offer,” the report quoted the prosecutor as saying in the court.

There was a large age gap of 41 times between the lawbreaker and the victim, and the victim’s concurrence then “ is inapplicable as the law was designed to cover minors due to their childhood”, said the prosecutor.
Defence counsel asked rather for not further than 10 months’jail, saying his customer “ deeply regrets his conduct”.
“ My customer didn’t designedly seek out minors on the app for sexual delectation or conduct. On the negative, as an aged, unattached bachelorette, he was lonely and seeking closeness. At best, this was a case where he gave in to lust and temptation,” he said.
He asked for charity, saying the indicted had a stroke this time and has other medical conditions similar as diabetes and hypertension.
The judge allowed Asokan to begin his jail term in December, so he can serve out his notice period at work and kind out matters relating to his property as he lives alone, the report said.
