In this status, it is the state’s obligation to control various elements such as tourism, creating ecological policies to protect these sites from anything that can cause them to harm. I believe it will be very detrimental for Mohenjo-Daro to lose his status, “said Thakur.

The sophisticated drainage system of the Indus valley civilization is a typical feature of the sites in Mohenjo-Daro. In the past, flood events reportedly played an important role in preventing inundation. But not this time.

Because this drainage system has not been fully explored, they cannot act as defense against such heavy floods.
